Curriculum

1st Year

First-year students are required to take two compulsory subjects: Development of Public Administration and Philosophy of Economic Sciences and Application of Micro and Macroeconomics. In agreement with the tutor (depending on the topic of the doctoral dissertation) they choose one elective course. Students can choose between Social Statistics and Optimization Models in the Public Sector. In addition, students also conduct individual research work and a doctoral seminar. Part of it is the disposition of the doctoral dissertation.

2nd Year

2nd year students choose between two modules: Public Governance and Economic Module. Within the module, they take two core subjects, in addition to two electives. The obligations for the year also include individual research work and a doctoral seminar. The confirmation of the doctoral dissertation topic is one of the conditions for enrolment in the 3rd year.

In the 2nd year of studies a student must complete 15 ECTS of study obligations at the partner faculty (Individual Research Work and the Doctoral Seminar also count).

In the 3rd year students complete individual research work, final doctoral seminar and defend doctoral dissertation.

Additional interdisciplinarity of the programme is ensured by a selection of elective courses in four different fields (IT, economics, organization and law). You can choose from a range of courses, which contains over 30 electives, or courses from other faculties. Each elective course below is worth 5 ECTS credits.
