How your data is obtained
The FU UL obtains personal data directly from individuals who fill in forms and applications, by telephone and electronic communication, via other written communication or through social media, by participation in award games and by submitting proposals. The FU UL may also obtain data from social media, business directories, and other publicly available sources on the basis of a legitimate interest.
Personal data and purpose of processing
If you wish to receive content from the FU UL (e-newsletters, invitations to participate, invitations to events, and other information on the current offer of the FU UL), you need to fill in a form/registration on the FU UL website. By filling in this form/registration and confirmation, you provide the following contact details to the FU UL:

The contact details that you provide when filling in and submitting a form/registration are required for our communication regarding specific e-newsletters, invitations to participate, invitations to events, and other information on the current offer of the FU UL to which you have subscribed. If you do not provide us the above-mentioned contact details, we cannot communicate with you and you will not be able to use the desired e-newsletters, invitations, and other information on the current offer of the FU UL.
The FU UL respects your privacy and is obliged to act diligently and in accordance with the applicable rules on the protection of personal data when collecting, storing and processing personal data. As there are links on the FU UL website to other external sites, which are not directly linked to the FU UL, we do not assume any responsibility for the protection of data on these websites.
In order to prevent unauthorised access to or disclosure of the obtained data, to preserve the accuracy of personal data, and to ensure that they are properly used, we apply appropriate technical and organisational procedures to secure the data that we collect. The FU UL cannot exclude a potential abuse of data, as the Internet is an unpredictable medium despite security measures and security communication protocols.
Consent
The personal data that you provide when signing up for e-newsletters, invitations to participate, invitations to events, and other information about the current offer of the FU UL is processed with your clear and unambiguous consent, based on Article 6 (1) (a) of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
To improve the quality of our products and services and for statistical purposes, we also process data on the display of received messages and clicks on the links in the received messages.
You give your consent to the processing of personal data in several ways: by subscribing to the e-newsletter (FU UL/News and Events/Subscribe to e-notifications)* or when registering online for an event by ticking the “I want to subscribe to e-notifications and receive information on news and events of the Faculty of Public Administration” box.
You can withdraw your consent at any time by clicking the “Unsubscribe” link, which is in the footer of every message that you receive from the FU UL or by email at pr@fu.uni-lj.si. If you withdraw your consent, we will no longer use your personal data for informing you about content from the FU UL (e-newsletters, invitations to participate, invitations to events, and other information on the current offer of the FU UL).
Data processors and potential transfer of personal data to third countries
In addition to the FU UL, personal data is also processed by processors on its behalf or for its account, such as companies that provide technical support to the FU UL in the processing of personal data, such as manufacturers and maintenance providers of applications, websites and information services, developers and implementers of software solutions engaged by the FU UL to provide the services necessary to carry out its activities, such as external marketers, marketing, research and analytical firms, external marketing agencies and event organisers, etc.
Some organisations or companies, which act as our processors and to which we can disclose your personal data, are registered or store data outside the European Union, in countries which may not have laws protecting the right to the protection of personal data in the same way as in the European Union or Slovenia.
Your rights
In accordance with the provisions of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), you have the right to access your personal data, the right to rectification, the right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”), the right to portability, the right to restriction of processing of your personal data, and the right to object. Please do not hesitate to contact us at pr@fu.uni-lj.si if you wish to enforce your rights or wish to obtain additional information. We will consider your request and answer it in accordance with the GDPR.

Data storage period
The FU UL stores your personal data for the period necessary for the purpose of sending the content (e-newsletters, invitations to participate, invitations to events, and other information on the current offer of the FU UL) to which you have subscribed. If you no longer wish to receive content from the FU UL and unsubscribe from it, or if you withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data for this purpose, your data in the FU UL system will be blocked and will no longer be used for this purpose.
