Open until the end of September 2027 or until funds run out
The University of Ljubljana has published a call for applications for Erasmus+ exchange for the purpose of practical training for the academic year 2026/2027. The full text of the call is available here.
Application requirements:
- the student must have an active status at the Faculty of Public Administration throughout the entire mobility period. An exception applies to graduates who apply in their final year and must submit their application before completing their studies and complete the internship within one year after graduation or until the end of the eligible mobility period.
- the student has no outstanding obligations under Erasmus+.
- the student has not been sanctioned in disciplinary proceedings at the level for which they are applying.
- employed students can only apply if the employer does not cover the costs based on a travel order.
Eligible period:
From 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2027.
Duration of internship:
Min 2 months – max 10 months. The minimum workload for practical training is 25 hours per week.
If Erasmus+ funds are not sufficient to finance all requested activities, UL will shorten the funding period for student mobility for the purpose of practical training to less than 12 months, depending on the available funds. For the same reason, UL may also limit the number of approved applications per student within this call.
Application deadline:
The call is open until the funds are used up or by 1 July 2027 at the latest. The student must submit the application and signed Learning Agreemebt at least one month before the start of the internship.
Application method:
Apply via Studis (“New Application”), select “Application for practical training abroad”.
When applying, the application, motivation letter, signed Learning Agreement and information about the language of exchange (OLS/Others) are sent to the e-mail address: international@fu.uni-lj.si
The Erasmus+ Student Charter describes your rights and obligations and informs you about what you can expect from the FU and the host institution at each step of your mobility.
The host organisation can be:
- a public or private, small, medium or large enterprise with at least 3 employees
- a social partner or other representative of working life, including the Chamber of Commerce, craft/professional associations and trade unions,
- research institutes/educational centres,
- non-profit organisations and associations, non-governmental organisations,
- bodies providing career guidance, professional advice and information services.
And it cannot be:
- EU institutions and other EU bodies, including specialised agencies. An extensive list of these is available on the website: http://europa.eu/about-eu/institutions-bodies/index_en.htm;
- organizations that manage EU programs (in order to prevent double funding)
- representative offices of Slovenian companies abroad
- public or private organizations/companies with less than 3 employees (self-employed, independent contractors, freelancers, independent cultural workers, farmers, etc.)
A student can carry out practical training in organizations located in Erasmus+ program countries. These are: European Union members, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, North Macedonia, Serbia and Turkey.
Practical training abroad must be substantively related to the field of study. This is guaranteed by the mentor at the Faculty of Economics and the employer, who sign the Learning Agreement.
We warn students to be extremely careful with potential services of intermediary agencies. Before any cooperation, request a detailed description of the services and the price. In addition, also ask whether you actually need all the services offered.
Financial grant:
The first day of mobility also includes the day when the student must be present at the foreign institution, which can be the first day of lectures, a welcome event or the first day of language and cultural preparation, which is an integral part of mobility and not the day of arrival abroad.
A student who receives an Erasmus+ financial grant is still entitled to receive a possible national scholarship.
