This course attempts to define health and health care in the context of human rights theory and practice.
The aim of the course is to:
- acquaint students with the human right to health;
- acquaint students with the meaning and importance of health system;
- acquaint students with the knowledge about the organization of health system;
- acquaint students with the knowledge of current issues in the field of health care.
Students should be able to generally understand:
- meaning and importance of the right to health;
- basic concepts of the health system;
- social justice and its role in health care;
- basic models of the health care;
- students should be able to critically analyse current situation in the health sector.
