In the 2023/2024 academic year, the Faculty of Public Administration launched the Social Innovation Section as part of its extracurricular activities. The goal of social innovation is to enhance quality of life by improving working conditions, education, community development, and health, as well as addressing critical issues such as poverty and discrimination. The Faculty of Public Administration, together with the Etri Institute, aims to foster social innovation by engaging students, graduates, and faculty staff in finding new, innovative solutions to deeply rooted societal challenges.
Throughout the Social Innovation extracurricular activity, students will develop innovative solutions to identified issues within five circular stories presented by the Etri Institute. These solutions will be tested in the work environments of organizations within the Etri community, under the guidance of a mentor for each circular story, as well as with the leadership of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Barbara Grintal, Lenka Puh, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sabina Bogilović.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SECTION
Purpose: Students gain firsthand experience in social entrepreneurship by working in real-world environments and testing their proposed solutions within the framework of five circular stories of the Etri group.
Objective: Students develop creative thinking skills and acquire knowledge of social entrepreneurship, sustainability, and the development of their own ideas with social impact.
