Objectives and competences
The aims
- student solves basic economic problems in the filed of public sector economics and finds various ways to resolve them
- student finds the key elements of the functioning of public sector and the differences in relation to the private sector
- student analyzes the basic economic problems of public sector from macro- and microeconomic point of view
- student analyzes the basic economic elements of functioning of the public sector
- student finds similarities and differences between the functioning of the national public sector of Slovenia and foreign national economies, focusing on the European Union
Competences
- student will understand the economic problems of the society, related with the functioning of the public sector (e.g. public institutions, public goods, externalities etc.)
- student will be able to combine and transfer the knowledge into practice
- student will be able to explain and compare the developments in the field of public sector economics
- student will understand examples from the public sector practices
- student is able to apply and transfer the knowledge of the public sector economics to other people and is able to plan and implement his/her own in-depth research
- student is able to search for information in the field of public sector economics
- student is able to use the information obtained
