9th Trans European Dialogue Conference – TED 9
Openness, Transparency and Ethics in Public Administration: Do they Support Each Other?
For the 9th time, the two decisive European professional associations of Public Administration, the Network of Institutes and Schools of Public Administration in Central and Eastern Europe (NISPAcee) and the European Group on Public Administration (EGPA) will hold a joint conference in the series of Trans-European Dialogue (TED 9). Each conference so far has been of great success, also producing the scientific publications (more on http://www.nispa.org/journal.php).
The TED 9 Conference will be held from 4th to 5th of February 2016 at the Faculty of Administration in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Six conference sessions will bring together numerous professionals from research, education, public administration, etc. in order to promote and interchange current information on topics of openness, transparency and ethics in PA.

Transport in Ljubljana (City buses – LPP)
Those wishing to travel with Ljubljana city buses, operated by the Ljubljanski potniški promet (LPP), should purchase the Urbana public transport card. The Urbana card is available from LPP ticket offices, tourist information centres and most of the city’s newspaper kiosks, news-stands and post offices. The card is priced at 2 EUR and can store up to 50 EUR of credit to be spent on city bus fares. The Urbana card can be topped up with cash at all the above mentioned sales outlets and the green Urbanomat ticket machines located across the city, mostly next to the bus stops. The ticket machines accept both cash and credit and debit cards. A single journey fare is 1.20 EUR. It covers up to 90-minutes journey regardless of the number of buses needed to be changed to reach the destination.

Getting into Ljubljana
When arriving by Air
After arriving at Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport you can take a taxi straight to Ljubljana or wait for the bus or shuttle headed for the main bus station in Ljubljana.
1) Taxi: The taxi rank is right in front of the terminal. Taxis are available according to the actual arrivals of flights. It takes app. 20 minutes to the Faculty, we recommend INTERTOURS TAXI company (tel.: + 386 31 311 311) – the price is from 20 to 25 EUR or TAXI USLUGE (tel.: +386 31 350 746) – price 20 EUR/car (up to 3 persons).
2) Bus: The price is 4,10 EUR. The journey time is approximately 45 minutes to the main bus station in Ljubljana. Click for available schedule here. Tickets are purchased on the bus. For information about ticket prices, please call: 090 93 4230 or check on website of AP Ljubljana.
3) Shuttle connection: Departures are usually adapted to plane landings. Transfer is offered by various providers, price is approximately 9 EUR. For booking and prices check:
By Bus or Train
Ljubljana has good international rail connections. Train is also an efficient mean of transport for trips within the country; distances are mainly short and travel costs are low. Ljubljana is also well connected by bus services from around Europe. Bus travel is one of the most convenient forms of public transport for short trips to Ljubljana’s surrounding areas. Connections to other places in Slovenia are good as well.
