1. Objectives and competences
- understands the meaning of the basic economic valuating of the projects and chooses and uses appropriate methods for ex ante and ex post evaluation of investment projects,
- understands legal framework of investment planning and is acquainted with weaknesses of investment decision making in public sector
- designs project organisation at governance and management level with project board, project manager and project team using PRICE2 best practice guidelines,
- sets-up the project plan, and analyses the progress of the project considering issues of the relationship between governance (project board) and management level (project manager),
- considering the results of project progress analysis makes decisions about obstacles and discrepancies elimination.
Student is qualified:
- to plan investment project and to govern and manage the investment project in it's whole life cycle
- for economic evaluation of investment projects using IT technology
- to manage and/or govern investment projects in their whole life cycle
- for coherent mastering of basic knowledge, and interdisciplinary usage of knowledge – economics of the public sector, assurance of the quality in the public sector, planning of the development on the various field of the public sector, preparation and management of the investment projects.

4. Intended learning outcomes
- understand project management issues: goals, models, project organisation, planning and supervising of project performance,
- be able to use PRINCE project model at the management of whole investment project life-cycle,
- be capable of taking governance or management role in an investment project,
Students will be able:
- to judge project results in term of their meaning and interprets influence of the data modification on the effects of calculations.
- of transparent project presentation, their goals and conditions for their achievement to the end users.
