1. Objectives and competences

Oojectives:
Student:

  • discovers the basics of economics in public sector in terms of market production, from the theoretical bases for the introduction of market criteria in public sector to the policies and practises in the public sector,
  • applies the acquired knowledge in practical situations,
  • spreads and deepens the knowledge on the role and meaning of public sector, budget, European Union, increasing competitiveness and determining efficiency and effectiveness of public sector,
  • analyzes the fields of public sector with basic concepts of public sector functioning.

Competences:
Student:

  • is able to integrate micro and macro levels of public sector economics,
  • is able to use basic concepts for analysing public sector fields,
  • is able to apply the acquired knowledge independently in practical situations,
  • is able to judge independently public policy measures in the fields of public sector.
