1. Objectives and competences
- studies literature, builds research framework and defines problem,
- asks research questions and prepares research plan,
- forms hypothesis, chooses and uses suitable hypothesis testing technique,
- chooses suitable research methods and use them adequately in the research,
- reports research results in the form of scientific article
- makes critical reflexion to survey results and relates them to the practical situation in public sector.
Student is qualified:
- to deal with problem environment and problem issues and to design the process of problem resolution,
- to examine numerical data to grasp issues, draw conclusions, and solve problems,
- to notice when data appear wrong or incomplete, or need verification,
- to distinguish information that is not pertinent to a decision or solution,
- to compare research results to what is expected to find inconsistencies,
- to connect and implement skills on all fields in applications – economy of public sector, organisations and on the administrative field.

4. Intended learning outcomes
- understand problem approach to empirical researching,
- to ask research question formation and to state theses and hypotheses
- to do research planning and proposal of disposition of the research,
- to choose and use some useful empirical research methods,
- to report research results in the form scientific article,
- understand the process of team work at the complex research and be able to make adequate contribution to the result of a project.
